Aliceia M asked:

I have a three bedroom two bath manufactured home .
I want to remodel it and turn it into a home .
I would like to add on more rooms and expand my kitchen
but I’m stomped because I don’t know where to begin and I’m being told that there’s not much I can do because it is a manufactured home. Is there anyone out there with any ideas or know anything about remodeling manufactured homes.

Just be sure it is weather tight where the new meets the old. Run new electric switches, sockets, breakers, etc. so as not to overload original design. First remove panneling to check for electric wires, turn off main breaker, move them ,cut a hole in the wall and go to town. If you think it through and do some prep work it is pretty easy. Build a deck, put up some walls, put on a roof, run some electric, decorate and there you go. [who]

Ed is right. But, if it is in a community, you probably won’t be able to. If it is, check with the manager before you do anyrhing.

By the way, it already is a home. You live there. [who]
